Cannot Connect

Hey guys,

I'm new to the whole CS:S world and I just need a little help. This is an extremely noob question so we'll see just how good your community is...

I want to play GunGame by myself just with some bots. I read the installation on the Wiki and followed all of the directions. Upon entering the "rcon es_load gungame51"
command in the Steam Dedi Server app I get this response:

Unable to connect to remote server (0.0.0.0:0)

It's probably just a config that I missed.

Remember, I'm a noob.
Also, I would like to know how to actually put bots in the game :S

EDIT: I do have the Dedi set to LAN, just to clear that up.

The only time you need to use the rcon command is when you are trying to "remotely connect" to the server. This means that while you are in-game, you use the "client" console to connect to the dedicated server. Try just using es_load gungame51 instead. To add bots, look to this page for a list of variables that pertain to bots:

You probably only want to look at the first 2 sections of that page.

Now I get:

That means that EventScripts is not installed properly on your server. Try reinstalling it and see if that works:

I got it, I was putting EventScripts in the actual CounterStrike folder and not onto the server. Now, speaking of which.. How to I add it to the sever?

I guess I don't follow the question. Do you mean "how do I upload it to my rented server"? Just let us know exactly where you are stuck, and we will help as best as we can.

Alright, well, good news. I got it working:) tested it out and it works great. The only problem is that whenever you kill someone it doesn't give you the next weapon right away, you have to wait till the next round. Which config could I modify to change this?
