Using info from July 3rd Post, gg crashes server.

Ok first off I followed this post.

Plugin print command outputs this

If I add es_load gungame51 to autoexec it just loops the server restarting it.

I'm having this same problem.

I have a brand new counterstrike install on a linux dedicated server

I have the same problem with my GunGame51 server.
I think that one of included addons causes an error.
After uploading default not-modified files (ES,GG51,SPE2,HOTFIX) everything seems to be working just fine. But after modifying settings of included addons I occur the same problem...

At this point I don`t know what to do and I need fully functional GunGame51 back.

Are you running our hotfix for the cfglib.py ? Please confirm this by opening the file and checking the top for a comment from me. Also, disable mani for the time being to ensure that it isnt the problem.

Yes, I am using your cfglib.py, and I`ve done everything correct according to GunGame 5.1 File Downloads (3-Jul-2010) post. Mani Admin Plugin is OFF - never used it, never installed it. I`m not sure about theory that gg_error_logging causing an error because it is`nt the last parameter loaded in my config list ...

Even when I turned off error_logging - the error issue was still in the game.

I was trying to find out which addon crashing the launching process by turning it off one by one, but I found nothing.

YES! I`ve found the source of the problem. After the newly and fresh configuration of included_addons one by one step by step I got that little bastard. It`s hard to believe but it was gg_thanks.cfg and changed default value from 1 to 0. I wanted to turn it off, but the developers have their secure ;) .

To solve this problem - CVAR gg_thanks 1 should be not changed and set by default to 1. At least it works in my case.

Well so far after doing an update on the server (that I wasn't aware of) my crashes have gone random. I'm beginning to think its custom map related.

My VM running stock maps has yet to crash on me. Yet my physical server crashes often at map change every few maps. Last few hours though it has been stable and not crashed.

Only thing I've done is make sure my CentOS was fully updated to 5.5 and ran another update to steam to be sure with the -verify_all flag and so far knock on wood it's stable.

Little advise - if there something preventing your server to run - find out what it is.
How to do it? Simple, upload the default non-modified files and try to run server. If everything will be good, server running without crashing or any error it means that one of included addons is causing problems. I done it in that way and it works.

Patch to configuration files /orangebox/cstrike/cfg/gungame51/included_addon_configs/

Try to configure all .cfg files one by one and after modifying each of them - try to run the server.
If it starts - go to another until you receive an error. After that you will know what causing issue and preventing server to run. Then if that included addon is surely needed, write a post to developers team.

It is not the addons that are causeing the crashes is events within events that are cause majority of the crashes this has to do with Eventscripts. Mattie is working on an update as we speak :)

I don`t want to be "the man who know the best" but as i wrote it`s something wrong with loading included addons. Maybe fault is on Eventscripts side, but I just gave a temporary solution to get rid of the problem. It really helps me and I wanted to share with others to make them happy and run temporary fixed GunGame servers. My is working very well, without crashing and any problems now.

That is fairly accurate as to what I posted before. Disable everything, and start enabling one at a time.

ok I did as you asked and I believe this is the culprit

gg_knife_pro_limit 3

I set this in my "gg_server.cfg" file in cstrike/cfg/gungame51/

commenting this out results in my server working just fine, uncomment, breaks

If you want to set up addon settings for GunGame, do it within the configs that we provide! lol ... Not sure why that would cause a crash for you, though.

Well had a stable server till Valves last update. Now I can't get 466 release to be stable. Downloaded the current version (468) from SVN (using TortoiseSVN) and tried it also. I haven't changed any of the GG settings from what was in the zip or svn.

Have players spawning in the ground. Map vote works and changes map but clients don't reconnect. They have to drop from the server and rejoin. Zooming in with Autosniper, server appears to crash few seconds later.

Since all the logs are over 100mb because of the debug I just snipped the last 120 seconds off of each in the order of crashes.

There is an updated verion of GunGame 5.1.466. GG has nothing to do with the weapon zoom issue or players spawning in the ground that I am aware of. That would be a game issue.

I'm using 5.1.466 and tried 5.1.468 I got from the SVN Rep on Google Code page.

I didn't get the spawning in ground till this last update. Not sure what is causing the respawn in ground. Only happens when ES, SPE and GG are loaded. Stock server works fine.

In my log file zip above I have the 3 logs to go with the 3 dumps. The second log shows the last action in the server before the crash was ES catching an auto sniper zooming event, erroring and then crashing few seconds later. So it may be an ES thing.

Map change was working now it's not. It's weird. The server will change the map, but the players will get stuck on end of game screen and have to drop from the server and reconnect to get back into game.

I've started a fresh install (GSP is going to love bandwidth for the month) and will try again on a fresh server.

There is a problem.
All like works, but is unexpected (more often in the end of a map) the server can be dumped on a start map...
To "Orange Box" such problems were not and it is a pity that they now still remain.

All the same - thanks developers GunGame and all who is linked to it. For diligence.
I hope that all when that will be adjusted.
