unknown command es_load

ok guys so heres the deal im planning on having a lan party and i really wanna play gungame but i dont have good enough internet for all of us to play online so im tryin to get gungame and maybe hideandseek to work but every time ive gone to console and type es_load gungame5 it says unknown command es_load ive got eventscripts and es tools but it still doesent work it is starting to get on my nerves can someone help me i know this question has probably been used to death but i cant find anything to help me

Sounds like you may be trying to install an outdated version of eventscripts and gungame. Gungame no longer uses es_tools since it doesn't work on the orangebox engine.

Go to the gungame installation page and download from the links on that page then follow the instructions:

ok the thing is now that when i try join it it says steam validation rejected anyone had this before and if so how do i fix it thx

It's not an issue with gungame. It's a steam issue that has been widely reported on the steam user forums since the last steam update. There are a number of things you can try that "may" fix it.
1 - verify integrity game cache
2 - delete your ClientRegistry.blob file then reconnect to steam to re-download it
3 - put in a support ticket with steam
4 - if there is a steam client on the same machine as the game server make sure the client is updated (even if it isn't being used)

Out of curiousity, did you install the server using the Steam=>Tools version of the dedicated server or did you use the HLDSUpdateTool to create the server? Using the HLDSUpdateTool is very easy to do and has far fewer issues than using the Steam=>Tools version.

I'm not saying it "will" fix your issue, but it certainly could.
