Steam Update May 22 breaking server.

I had to update my server today and once completed and ran es_load gunggame51, I got the below error. As anyone ran the update yet and ancountered the similar error?

Engine error: ED_Alloc: no free edicts

your-name-here and I worked on it and found the issue. Please update your SPE version as 2 signatures were changed on Windows servers.

so do we use both of these or only have to use which ever one we prefer?

Whichever one you already have installed. The Alpha version allows us to do things (like FreeForAll mode) which we cannot do in the Base release version. It is an "alpha", though, and some people have had crashing issues. As far as I know, the Alpha version does not work on Linux servers.

I have installed the base version and the game is working now, but I still have one small problem.....on my death match GG none of the guns are disappearing. The bodies are disappearing, but the guns just lay on the ground. Any suggestions?

I agree with the above post. I installed the new base SBE and overwrote everything. Everything seems to be working except for guns not dissapperaing as well as the buy zones are active. The only thing I can provide is my console code:

I am running the gg on a linux server and updating the spe as given above does not seem to stop the server from crashing.

Ok, turns out my issue was with mani-admin,.............
Disabled that and the server runs with gungame with no issues so far.

Yeah windows OS systems are still having a small problem with the guns not getting removed!

there was a update with mani. update to this version http://mani-admin-plugin.com/cms/index.php and then use this gamtypes http://mani-admin-plugin.com/cms/index. ... ani-broken and scroll down and use the gametypes keeper post just copy and past it over yours and then see if that works. everything is running perfect on my server and im runnin linux.

I will be looking into the weapon issue when I get the chance. It is most likely another signature that got changed, but I cannot say that for a fact.

Installed the latest GunGame and SPE
The server starts and allows a warmup round, but with the wrong weapons.
If the first round starts, the weapon order is wrong.
Usually the first round hangs with connection issues.
I'll wait until things settle down and then if all else fails - a complete reinstall, sigh.

We just updated SPE again, so weapon stripping should work correctly now.
