I'm Looking for a Respawn script that doesn't require a user-id.
I made a Gungame server and I couldn't find any other re-spawn script.

Yeah, I made a non steam CS:S Server.

Could Anyone find or make a Script for my Server <=D.

And Could anyone Tell me how to install the "Re-spawn Script*

I don't know much about non-steam servers, but gg_deathmatch should still work fine. I'm pretty sure everyone still has userid's.

i run a non steam server with gungame and deathmatch works perfectly fine :)

Hi Guys please some how anwser this i cannot get any help from anybody that can help too get my respawn too work. GG5 works and it loads rcon es_load gungame. but when i get killed from bots or real players respawn doesent work. i have uploaded es_tools and still doesnet work. i have typed this in my consul and this happends

rcon es_load gg_spawn
Could not open script for addons/eventscripts/gg_spawn/es_gg_spawn.txt
Error source (console): (no script)

If you use ES_Tools, make sure you are using the version attached to this post. Also, make sure that in your ../cstrike/cfg/gungame5/gg_en_config.cfg you have:

gg_respawn_cmd est_spawn
It should come default as est_spawn, so if you changed it, you need to change it back.

If you wish to use gg_spawn (or at least the SPE version of gg_spawn), make sure to change that value to gg_spawn. Also, download and install the attachment from this post. Extract everything from that spe_package.zip into your ../cstrike/addons/ folder. Then, you should be able to use es_load gg_spawn . Notice, it is not es_load gg_respawn .

Hi Satoon101

ok i uploaded ES_tools and i checked the ./cstrike/cfg/gungame5/gg_en_config.cfg. It was like this gg_respawn_cmd est_spawn

but respawn still dident happend. So then i loaded the spe_gg_spawn. and i changed the cfg too gg_spawn_cmd est_spawn. then i restarted the server login went too my consule
rcon es_load gunegame then
rcon es_load gg_spawn then it states loading gg_spawn.

and respawning once you are dead is still not working. what am i doing wrong.Thx james

You need to make sure you changed this;
gg_respawn_cmd es_spawn
to
gg_respawn_cmd gg_spawm
in your
gg_en_config.cfg

Thx Pro i have did that too and restarted the server and i still get this

rcon es_load gg_respawn
Could not open script for addons/eventscripts/gg_respawn/es_gg_respawn.txt
Error source (console): (no script).

I will give some gladly the login too check it out.ES_Tool was uploaded still not working SPE_ was uploaded not working. and some told me that i need too Upload GG5 and Deathmatch. Or do i have too delet something or turn somthing off GG5_util

Sorry guys how i lived in Germany i had 30 members in my Clan and 10 of then knew how too fix this. Know i live in California and i am alone trying too build my old Clan back up

Make sure you spell it correctly, there is no "re" in the scripts name. Then, setting gg_respawn_cmd to gg_spawn should work perfectly fine.

I tried both of your ways and it still doesent work. when i go in the game with my friends. i go in my consule

then i play get killed and i dont respawn i have too qait till the next round.

I installed ES_Tool new Eventscript and the spe_ and GG5. do i have too install anthing else or delet or turn something off or ON

Not too sure if it would affect anything or not but i would load gg_spawn before gungame?

i also have that same problem.
I'm now using gungame4 because i did't found any proper gungame5 with the es_tool and gungame5.txt

Could somebody upload me the full version of gungame 5 with the es_tool
so i can use es_load gungame5 or es_unload gungame5
and that the respawn realy works without changing any configs.

the reason why i want to have that is that i can play on lan with my friends. without using somebody's server.

You should go with GunGame5.1 anyway. GunGame5.1 uses SourcePythonExtensions (aka SPE) only to respawn. Actually, it uses SPE for a few functions, and SPE is required for 5.1.

Just to let you know, when the CS:S Beta goes live, ES_Tools will no longer work, since there is no OrangeBox version of ES_Tools. Upgrading (to 5.1 and using SPE) now will cause you less (if any) issues when that happens.

Just follow the installation instructions for 5.1 here.

but that's my problem. with gungame 4 you had an txt document. when you wrote in console es_load gungame4 you reached that document and loaded everything. here you don't have that. + here you don't have the es_tools. "maybe it wont work" you said, and why not?

when i type "rcon es_load gungame51" i get the error (they told me in the guide you gave me.)

RCON connection failed (WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL)

also i typed in console es_load gungame4 when i wasn't playing. but in the beginning.

could you or somebody say me exactaly what i have to do when i have to type in console and what i have to write?

What version of ES do you have installed? GunGame4 runs perfectly fine on ES1.5. GunGame5.1 (and 5.0), however, requires the newest ES2.0 currently. When CS:S goes to OrangeBox, it will require the newest ES2.1-OB (or currently a modified version of that). ES2.x not only loads up text files, but Python files as well. GG5.0 and up are Python scripts, which is why they require ES2.x to run.

well i will explain everything,

First i unpacked gungame5_1_450.zip
then unpacked Mattie_eventscript200.252.zip
and then mattie_eventscript_200betal2_250i.zip

those 3 zips are unpacked in addons, cfg and sounds
and copy pasted in:
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<Username>\counter-strike source\cstrike

normaly when i did the same with gungame4 i just had to unpack 1 zip file and copy paste it to the same directory.
when i starten cs:s i just had to type in console <es_load gungame4> to load and <es_unload gungame4> to unload.
(i did that without playing. so just start CS:S and then console, load it, create server...)
then i could start any map i wanted and it played. the only thing was that i couldn't respawn when i was killed.

i tried to do the same now so <es_load gungame51> but gave an error that he couldn't find gungame51.txt

am i doing something wrong? (sorry real noob here :? :oops: :D) i hope you have enough information to help me now.
the es_tools are included in Mattie_eventscript. I found that in the link you gave me.

The best thing to help me actualy is when you gave me a zip file with everything in it. sow i just have to copy paste it in my directory C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<Username>\counter-strike source\cstrike

and then say how to load/unload it in my console. Is that possible to do that for me?

Well, you should do all that in the exact reverse order:
  • unzip ES 2.0.0.250i to your game dir
  • unzip ES 2.0.0.252 and overwrite the files
  • unzip GG5.1 to your dir

There should be more to this error than just not finding gungame51.txt if you have ES2.0 installed correctly. Please provide the entire Traceback that comes before that.

While not fully necessary, you will probably encounter fewer issues if you installed an actual server via the HLDSUpdateTool on your system, and connected to it, instead of using "Create Server" in-game. Running both on your system should work perfectly fine. I did that for a while till I finally built my Game Server system, and had no issues.

There was a Valve update back last August that broke respawning for "all" plugins, including ES_Tools. To get the version of ES_Tools with the respawn fix, see this thread. Again though, once CS:S fully makes the move to the OrangeBox-engine, ES_Tools will no longer work.

What do i have to do to play with the gungame mod offline as online?

an other issue you can help me with maybe:

maybe with this you can also help me why i can't make a server when i want to play 1 on 1 with a friend.
i'm using windows 7 ultimate and shut all my firewalls down and antivirus.
my routine is open steam, open CSS, create server(choosing a map and connect), when i am in game i type in console "sv_lan 0"
my friend does that and i can connect with him but he can't connect with me

Can't load addon (gungame51): No module named spe


This means you did not install SPE. SPE (Source Python Extensions) is required for GunGame5.1.

thanx XE_ManUp,

almost everything works now. the only thing that dousn't work is when i play and i have to level. i only receive my gun when i respawn. could somebody help me?
