Hello,

I used to have a popular GunGame server but stopped due to too high server costs.
Now, 2 years later, I wanted to recreate a GunGame server but I'm experiencing some issues with the new version.

When I try to run the server is always crashes.
Is there someone who can help?

One thing I notice is this:

If bots are added and removed in the same tick on server startup, this has been known to cause crashes. Could you post your bot.cfg (or the bot section of any cfg files you are using) so that I can see exactly how it could be fixed?

Also, I always recommend using the following in your autoexec.cfg:
eventscripts_checkforupdates 0
By default, EventScripts checks for an update of its plugin on server start and every map start. Turning this off will shorten map loading times.

I recommend doing some testing, then. First, remove Mani from the server and see if it still crashes when you join. Then, if it doesn't crash, add Mani back in, and remove EventScripts and SPE. Repeat this for any other plugins you might have.

If you end up narrowing it down to ES/SPE, try not loading GunGame on the server and see if that stops it from crashing.

When I disabled MetaMod (which loads MAP) it works.
Known issue? Is this also in conflict with GG5?

Not that I know of. Strange that it happens when you join the game though. Do you load any other plugins besides Mani with MetaMod? Make sure to have only MetaMod loaded, but do not have it load any plugins at all, and see if it still crashes. We just need to be 100% certain which plugin/addon is causing the crashing.

Yes only MetaMod is loaded. It's the only plugin besides ES that is loaded.

"Use the mani admin plugin that is non-metamod. There is currently a conflict with SPE."

That thread was from way back when they first updated CS:S to the OrangeBox engine. That shouldn't be an issue anymore. There are plenty of servers that run SPE and MetaMod together.

Yes I discovered it wasn't MAP. Server crashed as well on another map.
Re-enabled MAP.

Now, "a new lead". On some maps, the server crashes everytime when I join, and on others it works just fine.
Like gg_aim_shotty is a 100% chance of crash while gg_fy_funtimes always works fine.
Is it possible old GG maps don't work with GG51?

I've unstalled SPE and GG51 and installed GG5 but with no luck.
Same issues.

Going to reinstall everything from scratch.
I'll keep you posted.

GG5 is unsupported. I almost guarantee it won't work "well" anyway.

Those errors are people trying to access rcon on your server. It could just be that they use cfg files on their client which happens to have rcon_password <password> in the files, or they could actually be trying to access your server's rcon. A lot of them seem to have the same IP but different port, so it very well could be the latter of the 2.

Glad to hear you got it working, though. Not really sure what could have been the cause of the issues.
